People were punching and kicking each other in the self-checkout area of a Ferguson, Missouri, Walmart on Tuesday, as seen in a video that has gone viral.

A wild fight can be seen on video going on in a Missouri Walmart.

A fight broke out in a Missouri Walmart that may have involved more than two dozen customers. The fight was caught on video, which led police to start a criminal investigation.

Around 9 p.m. Tuesday, the fight broke out in the self-checkout area of the big-box store off West Florissant Avenue in the St. Louis suburb of Ferguson.

A cellphone video of the fight, which has since gone viral on social media sites, shows people punching, kicking, stomping, and yelling obscenities at each other.

Some of the people fighting take poles and other things and use them to beat their opponents. Others spray fire extinguishers, which scares onlookers, including shoppers with children, who run away to save their lives.

Police say that 10 to 25 people were involved in the violent fight.

The police chief of Ferguson, Frank McCall, told the station KMOV4 that the fight, which he called “disgraceful,” may have involved 10 to 25 people.

The chief of police in the town said that the commotion that was caught on video happened because of a small problem that happened earlier that evening but didn’t need police help.

“It seems to have started up again soon after,” McCall said.

The police said that they think the people who got into the fight knew each other.

Women were seen hitting people with poles during the fight, which happened after a small incident.

McCall told KSDK, “We’ve never had a fight like that involving 20 people in a department store.” “I don’t understand what the point is.”

When the fight was reported to the police at 9 p.m., the fight was already over by the time they got there.

“We have found some of the people who were involved,” the chief said. “Because you have people who may have attacked each other or been attacked, we need to make sure they are ready and willing to go to court.”

McCall also said that he was sure Walmart would want to press charges in this case because the chaos had caused some damage to the store.

So far, no one has been arrested and no injuries have been reported.

Walmart hasn’t said anything about what started the fights in the Ferguson store. Instead, they’ve only said, “Our customers’ safety is our top priority.”
