The One Where Chandler CAN Cry: Matthew Perry sobs and is consoled by Jennifer Aniston during an emotional Friends reunion teaser… following fans’ concerns about the actor.

Chandler Bing’s character famously admitted that he was incapable of crying, leaving wife Monica Geller on a mission to elicit tears.

However, actor Matthew Perry, 51, demonstrated that he is not as restrained in real life when he broke down during the filming of the highly anticipated Friends reunion, which took place in April and will air on HBO and HBO Go on May 27. Maxim

A teaser for the one-off episode showed Perry crying and being consoled by co-star Jennifer Aniston, 52, before cutting to scenes of the actor reminiscing about his time on the show.

Fans expressed concern about Perry’s apparent slurred speech, and Perry has previously admitted that he ‘doesn’t remember’ filming portions of the show due to his well-documented battle with alcohol and drugs.

Numerous memories: Courtney Cox, Perry’s co-star, was also seen wiping away tears as she spoke with her co-stars during the emotional reunion.

Courteney Cox, Perry’s on-screen wife, says in the clip: ‘It was an incredible time. We became best friends,’ to which Perry admits, ‘Yep, I’m going to cry right now.’

With his head bowed and his arms wrapped around his body, Perry appears solemn as Jennifer leans over to console him.

Friends’ sixth season, episode 14 was titled The One Where Chandler Can’t Cry and originally aired in February 2000.

After admitting he hasn’t cried since childhood, Monica, Phoebe [Lisa Kudrow], and Joey [Matt LeBlanc] do everything they can to get him to cry, including sitting him down to watch Bambi and having him imagine her death.

Chandler surprises everyone when he bursts into tears after witnessing an encounter between Ross [David Schwimmer] and Rachel [Aniston], during which he questioned why they couldn’t work things out romantically.

As if it were the old days: The official trailer for The Friends: The Reunion demonstrated the cast’s unbreakable bond as they reminisced about the iconic show ahead of HBO’s Max special.

The Friends teaser was a homecoming for the actors, who filmed the special at Stage 24 at Warner Bros. Studios in Los Angeles, the same location where the series filmed its entire ten-season run.

Aniston joined Cox and LeBlanc on their old couch for an updated trivia game with Schwimmer, Kudrow, and Perry, in which they put their own spin on the game played during The One with the Embryos.

Chandler and Joey challenged Monica and Rachel to a quiz to determine who knows each other better, the boys or the girls, in the original episode (season 4, episode 12).

The teams competed, with the stakes increasing to the point where the girls were forced to forfeit their apartment as a result of losing the game.

The reunion trailer featured the team recreating the episode with their own questions, with Schwimmer resuming his role as quiz master and asking the group: ‘Rachel wrote Ross a letter and insisted he read it before they reconciled. What was the length of that letter?’

While LeBlanc screamed ’18 pages!’, Aniston jumped in to correct: ‘front and back!’ while Cox wailed, ‘Wait, wait, do it again!’

Reunited: Lisa Kudrow was overcome with emotion upon entering the Warner Bros. lot and hearing Matt enthusiastically announce, ‘Here we go!’

Additionally, there was a table read during which the six actors discussed their favorite episodes, including The One Where Everyone Discovers, in which Phoebe discovers Monica and Chandler are secretly dating.

Kudrow recreated the moment, leaving her former cast mates in fits of laughter as she screamed ‘My eyes! My eyes!’ before returning to character with her acoustic guitar.

Additionally, the group was asked to address the age-old question: were Ross and Rachel truly on a break during his season three affair with Chloe, ‘the hot girl from the Xerox place’?

In The One With The Morning After, Ross and Rachel have a massive falling out after she discovers her boyfriend’s infidelity, despite the fact that he insists they were ‘on a break’ and thus temporarily single.

As host James Corden questioned the cast about whether the pair was truly ‘on a break,’ Aniston admitted that she wasn’t on Rachel’s side, joining Cox in yelling ‘yes!’

Lisa admitted that the first table read was the ‘first time I laid eyes on any of you,’ while Schwimmer remarked on how ‘perfectly cast’ everyone was.
Surprisingly, LeBlanc did not support Joey the lothario, muttering ‘bulls**t’ under his breath.

Another unexpected moment occurred when Aniston admitted that she was advised not to take the Friends role because no one believed it would be a hit.

When she landed her role on Friends, the actress had a role on CBS sitcom Muddling Through. During the reunion, she admitted: ‘I remember going to the producer of the show I was on and he said, ‘That show is not going to make you a star.’

Throughout the trailer, the group is seen touring the set after returning to Stage 24 at Warner Bros. Studios in Los Angeles, where the series was shot for its entire ten-season run.

Kudrow was overcome with emotion upon entering the Warner Bros. lot, as LeBlanc enthusiastically announced, ‘Here we go!’ Later, as he toured the old apartment set, he added, ‘Does Courteney still have her lines written on the table?’

‘We have such a bond because of this show,’ Kudrow explained as she sat on the show’s iconic orange couch, admitting that the first table read was the ‘first time I laid eyes on any of you,’ while Schwimmer remarked on how everyone was’so perfectly cast.’

To celebrate the highly anticipated reunion of one of the most beloved shows in television history, the cast of Friends (Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer) sit down for this exclusive interview, talking about their favorite memories and why they’ll always be there for one another.

Friends was created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman and executive produced by Kevin Bright through Bright/Kauffman/Crane Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television. It ran for ten seasons from 1994 to 2004.

According to reports in April, the reunion special was filmed over three days and included a live audience.

The cast will be joined by a slew of celebrities, including Justin Bieber, Cindy Crawford, Lady Gaga, and David Beckham.

The reunion will also feature Cara Delevingne, Tom Selleck, BTS, Kit Harington, Mindy Kaling, and Malala Yousafzai.

The special will be hosted by James Corden, a decision that has outraged fans, who have questioned why the British comedian – who has no connection to the show – was chosen.

In the United States, the Friends reunion will air on May 27 on HBO and HBO Max. How to watch the special in the United Kingdom has not yet been revealed. Sky is reportedly the frontrunner to acquire broadcasting rights, and if successful, the event will air the following evening on the network (May 28).
