Kate Ritchie calls the Daily Mail’s publication of the private clinic photos a “shocking invasion of my privacy.”
As a result of the Daily Mail’s publication of photos showing the actress in a personal moment, Kate Ritchie has released a strongly worded statement directed at the newspaper.
After the Daily Mail published photos of Kate Ritchie in a mental health facility, the actress was compelled to issue a statement.
With her Instagram post, the 44-year-old Australian radio host blasted the publication for the “shocking invasion of my privacy” after she announced in October that she would be leaving her Nova show for the rest of 2022 due to a difficult few months.
The single mother disclosed that she had recently developed a “unhealthy reliance on alcohol,” prompting her to secretly seek treatment.
I’ve decided to make the most of this opportunity by seeking assistance from people who have extensive training in this area,” she wrote.
This is a very significant move for me, and I know that everyone can appreciate that.
The Daily Mail’s “unrelenting stalking” of me in an obvious attempt to shame me publicly over a personal health matter is “a shocking invasion of my privacy,” she said in a public statement.
After publishing several photos of Ritchie entering and exiting a Sydney hospital on Thursday morning, the website has now confirmed that he has been admitted.
In October, Australia’s Got Talent judge Amanda Bynes came clean about needing a break from the Kate, Tim, and Joel drive show because she was exhausted.

In a statement posted to the Nova website, Ritchie talked about the “hectic” year that left her needing a break.

Peter Charlton, CEO of Nova Entertainment, has publicly backed Ritchie’s decision to take a hiatus.
A talented broadcaster and valued team member on Kate, Tim & Joel and the Nova Network, he said in a statement at the time.
We fully support Kate’s need to spend time with her loved ones at this time in her life. In the coming year, we hope to have her back with us.
Ritchie explained her decision to “slow down” in an interview with Kidspot’s The Juggling Act podcast last November.
It was a tough call because “I’ve worked since I was eight years old and I think that I thrive by having a schedule every day,” she explained.
I struggle with quiet reflection. Despite all the wonderful things I’ve accomplished this year, I finally worked up the courage to say, “This is what I need.”
After being pulled over for drunk driving in Sydney’s eastern suburbs in August, Ritchie made headlines when she was fined $600 and given a three-month driving ban.
I decided to take a breathalyzer test one day. Ritchie said in an Instagram post that the result was positive despite the low concentration.
Clearly, I recognize the gravity of my actions and acknowledge that I made a bad choice. If I have offended you in any way, please accept my sincere a
