Catherine O’Hara adds another award to her collection with a SAG nomination for Schitt’s Creek.
Catherine O’Hara’s portrayal of Moira Rose on Schitt’s Creek has garnered additional accolades, as she was named the Screen Actors Guild’s best female actor in a comedy on Sunday.
Eugene and Dan Levy’s Canadian show also received a SAG award for best comedy ensemble.
O’Hara, who was also nominated for a Golden Globe for her performance, used her virtual acceptance speech to thank her co-stars and the series’ creators.
“This is something I share with Annie Murphy. I’m flattered that anyone could think I’m her mother. Annie is a lovely soul “‘She said.
Schitt’s Creek concluded its sixth and final season in April on CBC and Pop TV. Additionally, the Ontario-shot show won the Golden Globe for best television series in February and swept the comedy category at last fall’s Emmy Awards.
“Thank you to all who voted for us; what a fitting way to say goodbye,” Dan Levy said as he accepted the ensemble trophy.
