With the first units of the 2021 Kia Cerato, also known as the Forte and K3 in other countries, scheduled to arrive at Australian dealerships this week, the Korean automaker has revealed the vehicle’s pricing and specifications.

The range is comprised of the S, Sport, and Sport+ trim tiers, with prices starting at AU$25,990 (US$20,068), AUD$27,990 (US$21,613), and AU$31,690 (US$24,470) respectively.

The entry-level model comes standard with LED daytime running lights, 16-inch steel wheels, a six-way adjustable driver’s seat, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 4.2-inch color TFT display, a six-speaker audio system, manual air conditioning, and rear air vents. Lane keep assist, lane follow assist, automatic emergency braking (AEB), speed limiter, front and rear parking sensors, and a rearview camera are also included as standard.

Owners who upgrade to the Sport include 17-inch alloy wheels, new upholstery, illuminated vanity mirrors, a 10.25-inch infotainment system, and digital radio. The Sport+ trim level adds rear disc brakes, a smart key with push-button ignition, leather upholstery, heated front seats, dual-zone climate control with automatic defogger, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a more sophisticated AEB, blind collision avoidance assist, smart cruise control, and an electronic parking brake.

The Safety Pack adds a more sophisticated AEB, rear disc brakes, blind spot warning, smart cruise control, rear cross traffic alarm, electronic parking brake, electric folding side mirrors, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob for AU$1,500 (US$1,158) on the S and Sport.

The 2021 Cerato is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 112 kW (152 PS / 150 HP) and 192 Nm (142 lb-ft) of torque. The lineup will be completed by the GT, which will launch in mid-June and be powered by a 1.6-liter turbo-four producing 150 kW (204 PS / 201 HP) and 265 Nm (195 lb-ft).
